I would recommend it to others for many reasons. Location - close to the station, staff - very nice and caring staff. The rooms is beautiful and I love the fact that you have a shower in guest room. Great experience! Thank you.

Stayed at Ryokan Wakamiya , Kyoto City
This is the best hostel you can get for your money. The location is excellent, just half a mile walk from kyoto station (which isnt that bad) and the place is very clean. You feel free to move around like using the kitchen for example because Hakuri ( the owner) is very friendly and a warm person. She speaks very good English and she can suggest places to see in kyoto. I will stay here again without doubt the next time i visit kyoto.

This is a really nice hostel; great price, location, view, staff is nice. It is just a little boring. As travelers, we spend a lot of time in the lounge areas, so you should make the lounge area more cozy.
