I’ve stayed at many hostels. This one surely tops the list! A bit far from trains but don’t worry. The man will pick you up and drop you off with a smile 
While there, take an onsen bath! There’s even a guitar and electric piano!!

Stayed at Kawaguchiko Station Inn, Mount Fuji Yamanashi Pref.
We felt looked after at this little Ryokan. It was not beautiful but the staff were caring, the beds were made up and the linen was lovely. The lady took us up to our room and made us green tea when we arrived.
There was always hot water available in the room. The bedding was put away each day and the room was set out with the table, a tea tray and something to eat. We did not have meals here but the Kyoto station is only 5 minutes walk and is an amazing place. There are lots of eateries along the road from the Ryokan which were laways full of Japanese and the station was great for food, lots of restaurants on the top floor.
There was a hot bath on the top floor of the ryokan which I soaked in alone!There was free internet connection but it was very slow, good for emails to keep in touch with home.

Amazing place to stay in Kyoto. Really nice staff, so friendly and familiar, we felt as in our own home, and the confort of the rooms top ten. Thanks a lot for a really great staying at Kyoto!!!

Stayed at Chita Guest Inn, Kyoto City
Last week,I’d been there for a night with a single room. The place is really nice and clean. Close to the train/bus station at a 3minutes walk so you can start and end your lake trip easily. I’ve got a set of green tea with hot water jug in room as a welcome drink, this is unexpected but amazing. You’ll have your own Ukata, towel and all bathing set eg. bath soap and shampoo are already available. Its restaurant provide great taste w/10% discount. Got free internet and wifi signal in room.Cool!
