Very nice atmosphere, very quiet. We feel very safe, it was an enjoy travel around this beautiful old town , houses with fabulous gardens (specially tree). We have enjoyed the temples shrines path around the town. The staff was pleasant,kind and helpful. We enjoyed the summer. It was very beautiful and so good! We recommend the minshuku kuwataniya for every body.

Stayed at Minshuku Kuwataniya, Hida Takayama
This pension has a very welcoming atmosphere. We would recommend it to everyone. We enjoyed the ability to speak to other travelers from all over the world. It would be nice to have a small table and chair and small chest of draweres. This pension is very clean and the beds were comfortable. Because we have a car, we only got lost once finding this place, but found it quickly after that. While here, we went to the Herb Festival, then to Oshino Eight Springs (Oshino Hakkai), took the boat tour of this lake & watched fireworks at night. The next day we toured the bat cave & hiked in the forest. We also drove many back roads!

Stayed at Pension Cosmos, Kawaguchiko & Mount Fuji.
We loved our stay at Kojinmari very much! it is a very safe and calm place, in situated very conveniently in the center. The staff is very friendly and helpful. there approach is personal. We loved enjoy especially the cup of macha-tea when we arrived! We highly recommend Kojinmari!

The staff was amazing. The woman in charge spoke wonderful english and helped us with everything. The rooms weren’t huge but they were big enough and overall it was a great place to stay. I wish we could have stayed there another night.

Stayed at B&B Pension Hakodate-mura, Hakodate in Hokkaido
A very tradional, spacious and comfortable Japanese style room with tatami matts and sliding doors. A good facility is a protected clothes drying area on the roof with hangers. The charming host has bikes available for very reasonable rates which are a very good option for visiting the temples and gardens of which some are a few kilometres apart.

Stayed at Chita Guest Inn, Kyoto City
1. Very nice Ryokan, nice house, keeping lady gave us a good welcome. 2. Felt safe, bath was lovely (a bit noisy though). Room was a bit stuffy, and maybe would to good to have beds our all the time for tired travellers. 3. Place quire easy find. Enjyoed doing walks in Kyoto. 4. the staff lovel + very helpful.
