Excellent!

May 13th, 2011

Stayed here for three nights in May 2010. I was travelling alone, and the room I had was a spotless Japanese style room, very lovely and actually very large - it was probably 3 times the size of the room I stayed in when in Tokyo! They had two baths, one for men and one for women. These were also very clean. The lady who was running the place (whose whole family seems to live there) was very nice, had some limited english, and was always ready with a greeting when I walked in or left for the day. I also found a container full of hot water outside my room door each evening, so that I could make the tea in my room. When I checked out, I was given a cute little fabric bag with rabbits on it.
The location is great, right in the old town area and less than a minute’s walk to a Family Mart (I believe it was a Family Mart - either way, it was a convenience store). Note, however, that in the mornings it does get a little loud with all of the people walking by on the road and greeting each other. However, this was not a problem as I was up earlier to explore anyways. Also, the hotel does not have internet. However, there is a cafe nearby (2 minutes walk, perhaps) that has free wi-fi.Highly recommended!
